School History

Aviator - n (1887): the operator or pilot o an aircraft and esp. an airplane.
Blount Elementary opened at the beginning of the 2003-2004 school year. Blount was built with the neighborhood concept in mind and serves the neighborhoods in East Montgomery and a portion of Montgomery County. Currently about 450 students attend Blount in grades K-5. We have twenty-one homerooms and average a 20 to 1 teacher ratio in grades K-3 and 25 to 1 in grades 4-6. Our teachers provide a student-focused nurturing environment that strives to challenge and enrich students with various ability levels. Our mission is simple: Be the Best! We want to provide children with the tools needed to compete in an ever-changing world.
